Youth photojournalism contest open [Worldwide]

Photographers under age 24 and those enrolled as full-time photography students can apply for the scholarship.

The Ian Parry Scholarship aims to help young documentary photographers undertake a chosen project and raise their international profile.

This year’s contest features two prizes: the Tom Stoddart Award for Excellence and the Canon Award for Potential. Each winner will receive US$3,500, Canon photo equipment and more.

World Press Photo automatically nominates the Achievement winner for its Joop Swart Masterclass in Amsterdam. The Potential winner will receive one year of mentorship from a veteran photojournalist.

There is no entry fee. The deadline to apply is July 15.
