Female campus journalists in West Africa are welcome to apply to join Campus Reporter’s Empower Women in Media Cohort (EWMC), dedicated to empowering committed female campus journalists across West Africa with sustainable skills to thrive in the media ecosystem.
EWMC features an 8-week long training where successful applicants will:
- Receive training and mentorship from accomplished female journalists.
- Pitch stories and apply for story grants.
- Receive editorial guidance to ensure great stories are published.
- Gain hands-on experience in niche reporting.
- Join a supportive network of like-minded female campus journalists.
- Access ongoing mentorship and career development opportunities.
Eligibility
- Must be a female undergraduate in a West African tertiary institution.
- Provide links to three stories you wrote that must have developmental significance to your community.
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from your Head of Department/Course advisor, vouching for your dedication to work.
