Youth Hackathon focuses on global media, information literacy [Worldwide]

Youth around the world, 18 to 30, can participate in a hackathon.

UNESCO is hosting the Global Media and Information Literacy Week Youth Hackathon 2024. The Youth Hackathon offers a global stage for youth participation and engagement, aiming to harness innovation and youth-led initiatives to respond to the theme ‘Youth Leading the Way – Media and Information Literacy and the New Digital Frontiers of Information.’

Participants will focus on a topic to design an innovative solution for their proposals. Solution categories include games, applications/websites, radio programs/podcasts, and more.

The winning teams will be invited to Amman, Jordan on Oct. 30 and 31 to present their projects during the closing ceremony of the Global MIL Week Feature Conference.
