Knight Center offers MOOC on strategies against online harassment [Worldwide]

Women journalists and their allies can enroll in this online course.

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), hosts the free course “Online harassment: strategies for journalists’ defense” Nov. 16 to Dec. 13 in partnership with the International Women’s Media Foundation.

The training features four modules including an introduction to online harassment, understanding privacy, trolls and their strategies, and digital security steps to counter online harassment.

The instructor are Arzu GeybullaCatherine GicheruEla Stapley and Myra Abdallah.

The course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection. Participants may complete the weekly activities at their own pace. Anyone who wants to receive a certificate must pay a US$30 administrative fee.
